As a multi-purpose community based organization La Casa de Don Pedro attempts to address the myriad needs of its residents and community. To achieve this, in addition to structuring programs directly within the agency, La Casa employs a strategy of using affiliate organizations to support specialized work and to embrace social entrepreneurial initiatives. La Casa’s “social entrepreneurial” ventures seek to capture the economic wealth generated from our work to maximize the economies of scale, generate unrestricted revenues to support core program activities and create employment opportunities.

At the current time La Casa has three active affiliates:

• Don Pedro Development Corp provides services and holding company for the real estate development work.
• LC HomeBuilder provides expertise in the construction business.
• La Olla or the Spanish word “the Pot” is a food preparation kitchen

All these social entrepreneurial activities were created building on the internal needs and synergies to La Casa’s core work and are projected to provide goods and services to other in the broader community.
