Newark In Tune

Newark in Tune is a community project where a diverse group of young artists wrote and performed an authentic song reflecting their stunning vision for the city they call their home. “Small Town Big City” spans hip-hop, jazz, Latin and dance music, and the newly released music video takes us on a journey throughout the city to bring to light the beauty and unparalleled energy of Newark, NJ.

Georgie Morel

Art is a  platform to express Georgie’s beliefs, frustrations, dreams and hopes. It is a mean of communication. Georgie is inclined to work with figurative painting attempting to interfuse symbolism and abstraction to his work. He has exhibited at the Queens Museum, the Union City Museum of Art, Briarcliffe College in Long Island, City Without Walls, the Ecuadorian Consulate in Newark, and other institutions.

Stanley Gavidia

“I can’t say anything concrete about painting, what happens on the canvas is unpredictable and  surprising to me. Each painting suggests something. Once I sense the suggestion, I begin to paint intuitively and when the painting is finished the subject reveals itself. I leave it to the spectator to fix meaning. It can always be interpreted in many ways.”

LaQuin and the Family Tree Band
LaQuin and the Family Tree Band are a mission driven Funk, Hip-Hop, and Improvisation band consisting of drums, sax, guitar, and LaQuin’s on spot arrangements driven by Ableton Push.

Red
