Funded in partnership with LISC and Citi Foundation, the new Financial Opportunity Center helps connect people to a variety of different services with the goal to build people’s assets and help them become more self sufficient.  Services include employment search, assistance to connect to appropriate educational opportunities, income and work supports such as tax credits and food assistance, financial education and asset building.  The program officially launched in February 2011 and is targeting residents of the Lower Broadway, Newark community.

Eligibility Requirements:

• Age 18 years of age or older
• Low to moderate income
• Resident of the City of Newark
• Interest in learning more about financial literacy
• A long term commitment to achieve financial independence
