The programming in this area seeks to assist public assistance recipients to prepare and enter the workforce as part of the WorkForce Initiative that has as the dual objectives of making recipients self-sufficient and reducing the long term dependence.

A computer based classroom offering a variety of academic instruction including Adult Basic Education and GED training. Morning and afternoon classes are offered Monday through Friday. Prospective clients are tested and evaluated for eligibility.

Welfare to Work Initiative

Program offers client “job readiness”, basic educational component, case management and job placement. Clients are provided with work place orientation; testing, basic educational classes; life-skills orientation; referrals for assistance so as to enter the workforce and aided in finding work placement.

• Must be referred by WorkForce NJ.
