Lead-Safe Home Remediation Program

Is your home lead safe?  Do you live in an old home built before 1978?

Your home may have lead health hazards.  Small children are at risk.

Our Lead Safe Home Remediation Program for Essex County residents could help!

You may qualify for help if you meet the following requirements:

  • The property has presence of lead-based paint hazards;
  • Your household income is within the low-to-moderate income limits;
  • You live in a 1 to 2 unit residential home built before 1978;
  • The property is current on real estate taxes, water and sewer;
  • The property is structurally sound.

Our program serves residents in Essex County.  If you live elsewhere, other organizations might be able to work with you.  Learn more about other agencies that provide the same program in other areas in New Jersey.
