We help eligible low income households in Essex County manage the costs of home heating and energy. Financial assistance is provided through the federal Low Income Home Energy Assistance Program (LIHEAP) and Universal Service Fund (USF) programs provided by the NJ Public Utility Board that are managed by the State of New Jersey, Department of Community Affairs.

The Home Energy Conservation (Weatherization) is a federally funded program to help improve the energy energy efficiency of low income families homes, and is managed by the New Jersey Department of Community Affairs.

The Lead Abatement Program is funded by the Federal Office of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) and helps low-income families remove lead hazards in qualified families’ homes – freely and safely.
