Aug. 29, 2020 – La Casa de Don Pedro is partnering with Project Ready and the League of Women Voters for our 2020 Voter Registration Drive! Between now and the October 13th deadline for participation in the November 3, 2020 Presidential Election, volunteers from Project Ready and the League of Women Voters will be assisting Newark residents to register to vote.
Voting is one of our most important rights as citizens and, as long as this country has existed, communities like ours have had to fight for our right to vote. La Casa, along with our allies, are committed to preventing voter suppression and to encouraging people to use their voice this November. We truly believe that not voting at all is a wasted vote and that more people voting can send the message that Newark demands new policies and more attention paid to our communities.
