New Client Waiting Area for Home Energy Assistance Program Coming Soon
(December 1, 2021) La Casa is excited to announce that we’re installing a new 24’ x 24’ standalone building equipped with heating and windows to serve as a waiting area for LIHEAP clients at our 317 Roseville Avenue location. While our outdoor tent served its purpose for many years, a comfortable overflow space for our clients to wait for assistance was long overdue.
The first step was removing the old tent. Then the wooden deck that once occupied the space was demolished along with the old concrete surrounding it. Next up, a new concrete slab will serve as a foundation for the building. The project is expected to be completed before the end of the year, just in time for LIHEAP’s busiest months of the season.
