Dante Lara is not letting this quarantine come between his clients and the essential services he and his colleagues provide. Dante’s been an integral part of La Casa for more than eight years, providing HUD Certified counseling and training to first-time home buyers, homeowners, landlords, and tenants.
Dante and his team now offer their popular First-Time Home Buyers Workshop virtually by sharing a video that clients can watch at their own pace. Once they pass an online test, clients complete one-on-one counseling sessions over the phone. Then, they can receive a HUD-certified 8 Hour Home Buyer Certificate.
An added bonus to La Casa’s first-time home buyer program is that clients receive free financial counseling as well. This includes credit counseling, pre and post-purchase counseling for those needing further guidance, and landlord training for those looking to purchase a multi-family unit.
Our program makes an impact. Our prepared home buyers have better rates of sustaining their homes compared to first time home buyers with no training. And, with a certificate in hand, home buyers can qualify for downpayment assistance programs and more competitive mortgage terms and rates from an assortment of reputable lenders.
