With deep experience advocating for marginalized communities and mobilizing volunteers, Peter T. Rosario assumed the role as La Casa's first President & CEO in August 2021. Peter is well poised to lead the organization, advance its vision, navigate the organization’s growth, maintain a high level of excellence, and continue to sustain La Casa’s relevance to the Greater Newark community.
In this position since 2009, Carrie Puglisi leads new program development and grant-writing, appeals, communications, marketing, and special events.
Louis Prezeau is a community economic development professional with extensive banking, finance, and development experience including both the development and underwriting functions of affordable housing.
Wendy Melendez is Director of La Casa’s Personal Development Division and the Hispanic Women’s Resource Center since 1998. She leads La Casa's adult education, immigration, and workforce programs.
Edward Hernandez has more than 20 years of experience working with youth and families, from both a clinical counseling and management perspective.
Norma Sessa is Director of the Community Improvement division and has held that position for more than ten years. She leads La Casa's home energy, conservation, and lead remediation programs.
Yun Shin has been working as an early childhood administrator in Head Start, Pre-K, Afterschool Program and Infant Toddler programs for close to 25 years. She leads La Casa's early childhood programs for more than 600 infants, toddlers, and preschool age children and their families.
